Food & Beverage Supervisor – Central London – £25k + benefits

A beautiful large village setting with historic buildings and breath taking landscaped grounds, is looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join its team. You will be based within one of the largest buildings, that has great history and offers the elderly residents who reside within this village setting, a friendly and efficient service. This historic institution, offers its residents and guests popular dishes and a caring service as well as an amazing setting.

SALARY ETC:

£25k + excellent benefits
Permanent, full-time
Central London
41 hours a week, which includes paid for lunch breaks
6am to 3pm, will be the main working hours, although occasional flexibility will be required to assist with large events
Monday to Sunday on a rota basis (5 out of 7), with every other weekend off.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

Ensure that the duty roster staffing is kept to the agreed level and the use of overtime and the booking of Agency Staff is authorised by the Head of Catering & Hospitality.
Oversee and assist with service, ensuring a caring and friendly service is provided.
To set standards and ensure that all legislation is adhered to in respect hygiene, health and safety and mandatory training
To ensure that the catering china, crockery & equipment is correctly prepared for all meals, fully cleaned after each meal and the highest of standards are maintained.
To be responsible for all HR issues for staff under his/her control
To be responsible for training of all staff under his/her control in accordance with current legislation
To be responsible for accounting for catering equipment used
To ensure that required consumables are readily available.
To take responsibility for own Health & Safety and for those affected by the post holder’s acts or omissions.
REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience of supervising a team within a Food & Beverage / hotel environment
Knowledge of COSHH / Food Hygiene / Health & Safety
Excellent customer service skills, able to empathise with the elderly
Smart in appearance, reliable and flexible
Able to work as a team member and possess excellent communication and organisational skills
