Occupational Therapist – Elderly Care – £37k to £39k + excellent benefits – Central/SW London.

This is an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join this amazing private care home / village for the elderly. This is a well known institute with royal connections, offering a village setting in vast grounds and facilities to its residents, which include lovely gardens, cafe, restaurants, bar, gym, etc. They also offer excellent care facilities and services to its pensioners. The Occupational Therapist will provide a highly skilled level of occupational therapy services to the pensioners, leading in dementia care, as an autonomous practitioner whilst observing the HCPC Standards of Professional Conduct.

SALARY ETC:

£37k to £39k + Excellent Benefits.
Permanent, full-time.
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, or 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Central / SW London.

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Occupational Therapy.
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Must have full right to work in the UK (unable to provide any sponsorship).
Sound clinical reasoning and treatment planning within your scope of practice

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

Manage and take responsibility for occupational therapy caseload.
Ensure that resources available are utilised, monitored and maintained.
Act as the main therapist, contact for our dementia unit, triaging referrals.
Responsible for the assessment therapeutic activities for the pensioners with Dementia.
Assist the Activity team with when planning new activities.
Develop working relationships across agencies to include NHS and Local Authorities.
