My client, a renowned membership organisation, with stunning offices based in Central London, seek a Senior IT Officer to join their Corporate Services Team.
The main purposes of this role are:
To lead and plan the support of users across the organisation for IT systems and technology, and build organisational processes to deliver this
To manage the reactive response to users’ requests through the helpdesk and ensure timely solutions are provided
To support the technical development and upgrade of user and infrastructure equipment and the move to cloud services where required
To proactively train staff and develop their knowledge and awareness of Office365 and other organisational technology platforms
The Senior IT Officer will undertake or manage the following:-
Lead IT support
To provide planning and management for the support of IT services required across organisation users for a complex range of hardware, software/applications and processes
Oversee the management of all queries and requests for IT support generated through the support system or directly from users
Supervise the allocation of queries or tasks and completion of these by the IT Officer and self
Management of third party providers and contractors who are required to support IT services
Monitoring support issues to identify trends and common problems and reporting on these with the Head of IT
Escalating IT support issues to relevant internal staff, including Head of IT and the database support officer.
Develop and maintain learning and development resources, including ongoing training and guides, to equip staff to use organisations systems and equipment.
Provide support to staff by training them on systems and equipment, including new starters
Support the development and maintenance of IT technical & procedural documentation.
Technical development and support
Provide support for technical development of existing systems.
Support and development of Microsoft365 services, including Intune, SharePoint, Teams and others as adoption is extended
Technical support for the implementation of upgrade or replacement of infrastructure systems, including VMware, Telephony, Local and WAN networks, file storage and others as deemed necessary, taking a cloud-first approach where practical
Supervision of IT Suppliers
The post has supervision responsibility for suppliers of Infrastructure and IT services, which includes:
Escalating incidents for supplier response and managing these incidents
Managing and reviewing ongoing supplier performance overseeing tender & transition processes where new suppliers are required
The salary for this role is 36.5K with excellent benefits
